I've fooled around with this a bit just in terms of horizontal motion (strafe fast, hop out, get a nice boost) — not bad as long as you're going to your right. If you get out on the left, it's a good trick to crush someone with your still-moving Ghost :)

Haven't thought of it to go up, though... sounds very vid-ish :) I'll give it a shot.
