Anyone read the XBN Halo article? *POSSIBLE SP*

Forgive me if this has been covered before but the latest edition of XBN has an in depth article that covers the development of Halo from start to finish. It includes some interesting tidbits such as: * The MC is, in fact, the same character that was in the Marathon series. The quote is vague enough that it doesn't pin down whether Halo takes place in the Marathon universe, though. * Halo was supposed to take place over 20+ levels. That number had to be cut to meet the launch of the Xbox. * The Silent Cartographer wasn't supposed to be in the final game. It was more of a tech demo. * Halo's original roots were in the Myst engine and couldn't do indoor levels. That and its low poly count was why it was scraped. All of this is probably old news to a lot of the insiders around here but I found it to be a good and informative read.
