So the pulse kills them. I agree with that 100% : Given that, then how could severall Forerunner have survived, but their : cities and installations didn't? Wouldn't there be huge, : advanced-alien-race colonies everywhere, particularly out of the pusle's : range? Wouldn't the Forerunner cities have survived but the Forerunner : themselves have died, not the other way around, as would be necessary for : the humans to be Forerunner survivors? Since there is more than one halo we can assume that they were built with the intention of erasing all life. SO halo would overlap each other and get every inch of space. Just like errosion, halo would essentially destroy everything although some life would stay and definitley smaller life on planets. although the forerunner might not survive, their evolutionary 'mokey' in a sense might and the chain of evolution might start up again to produce the new forerunner. : You may say, "the pulse might destroy technology." I'd say, : "then why is the ring itself still there?" The response could : be, "the pulse doesn't affect the ring." then I'd say, : "then why didn't any Forerunner take refuge on the ring if it's safe : there?" Maybe they did and the forerunner now are the desendants of the ones that lived on the ring. looks like a perfect place to live. Nice water and grass and sandy beaches!
