In Response To: about the 3rd shot in pics above (Amechwarrior) : That shot reminds me of the view in RTS games. Was not halo : origonaly suposed to be a RTS? This position would probably be good for : commanders(if you can spare one down their)as they can see the battle : unfold over the whole map and issue orders accordingly, very RTS like. That's actually a very interesting idea. Just get somebody strategically- instead of tactically-minded, give them a sniper rifle (and a rocket launcher... heh), and send them up to function as observers, reconnaissance, and field commanders. Sort of spyplane/AWACS/Captain hybrids. And, of course, they can lend some close-air support when the going gets tough :) I must try this. There are serious possibilities for real strategy.
