I think it is also possible our galaxy is like a toxic waste dump. The analogy fits at least somewhat. They put the Halo way out there in some galaxy they don't care about to clean out all the rats. Plus the mentioning of the level of suit the Master Chief wears indicates spark is familiar with the methods organic life forms use to protect against flood invasion. I recall hearing that his suit should be a level * suit(5-8) but is only a level *(2?). And spark mentions he could upgrade it for the MC, in fact I expected to get a super suit towards the end of the library level.
