I didn't address the statement you were commenting on (that you deserve to lose if you let people get a lead and then hide) - because it is, to me, irrelevant.

No, of COURSE you don't 'deserve to lose' when someone plays outside the normal rules. My point was simply that getting worked up about folks cheating like this is silly, because it happens pretty damned infrequently. There are WAY more relevant things to get worked up about. ;)
