In Response To: Like a shepherd with murderous sheep! (scarab) Thanks for the comments everyone. I've just been checking out how things play and look in CEA. The spores move a lot faster, which made playing about with them quite a bit harder. The good thing is that the 360 seems able to cope with a similarly high number of spores without giving the framerate slowdown I was getting in H1. So that should open the door to playing about with even larger herds. On the minus side, the spores don't look as pretty or stand out so well against the background. But their red-tipped feeler thingies can become collectively quite striking when you get the spores into a glob. What are those feeler thingies actually? : That was oddly calming. No wonder 343s is so mellow in that level. The spore : sounds are very relaxing. Yeah, nice and peaceful, once you've just got spores around. : You didn't melee the flood Caterpillar to death. That's my favorite method of : dispatching them. I had a lot to squeeze into the movie already. But I expect to do more spore stuff later, and some melee may well feature.
