In Response To: Re: My H4 review - Campaign (Gameplay and Story) (Cody Miller) Consequence free rebellion against a commander who was so obviously wrong was the most insubstantial way for the Chief to have a profound character moment. The troops ignoring the incompetent commander is such a lazy trope in American military fiction. The grizzled veteran decks him and everybody looks the other way. We have had perhaps every boot camp related military cliché under the sun; now we have had the incompetent commander cliché. Is it too late to start a military cliché database? Have all the entries already been filled? Can anybody come up with a cliché that hasn't happened yet?
