Is it so unreasonable to want a gameplay experience free of frequent annoyances? If you believe such things much just be accepted as part and parcel of any game, and never mind too much about it, I'd say you're being way too deferential to game developers. You do sound somewhat that way in some of the things you've said, such as "If something like these animations really bothered me, I'd have to reflect on my own tastes in gaming, rather than the games themselves." : To be clear, we're talking about 2 second
That many? Dang, now I'm even less keen to bid. *humorous remark*
