They can do that big juke to the left or right where they sorta : leap instead of just strafing. They did this in Reach a lot. They can also : do the Evade like dodge / roll that gets them well out of the way. I've : only seen this second one once or maybe twice in 4, but it's in there. I'm : not really sure how a Needler being good at Elites is a come down. It has : killed them well in every Halo. If anything the changes to the Needler, : and not Elites AI, makes them easier to kill in later games. In Halo 1 the : needles moved so slow that an Elite had more than enough time to simply : strafe out of the way. Now in 4 needles must move twice as fast or more. : Practically everything but vehicles die to it in short order! Point is: the effective dodge is rare. You have a high probability of a kill and the Halo 4 Elites are not as good at self protection. : I'm in no way saying Halo 4 Elites are perfect. They do sometimes stand : around a bit more than they used to. They also seem to be almost all : shield and very little health. Feels like once I do break the shield they : pretty much just die. Not vs. head shots, but vs any gun. Back in Halo 1 : breaking the shield with an AR was just step one, you could chase them : around the corner blazing away and if you aimed poorly you'd run out of : ammo before you could kill them. The Covies don't have Reach's insane needle avoiding dive. The needler is now an enemy melter. Its an almost guaranteed make-enemy-die-now weapon.
