Specializations: What's In It For Me?*rant*

I can't help but have some questions and worries about the whole Specialization topic as Halo 4 rapidly approaches. I wanted to take some time off from doing nothing and place my queries here, in my segment called: Specializations: What's In It For Me?: A Comprehensive Cacophony From a Concerned Community Caretaker Considering Complications Collecting Credentials. From HBO's Favorite....well, whatever word you can come up with that's synonymous to 'pest' and starts with a 'C'. (I can think of one. ;-)) Now I know I'll have several links thrown at me with various instructions to read and such, but as many people will tell you, there's a difference between reading and understanding. Yes, I am aware that the Limited Edition "Day 1" Specializations are nowhere near "Day 1". Yes, I am well aware of the abilities of the Specializations, and yes, my sweats are horrifyingly tented and nearly ripped at the concept of getting revenge against the asshole who teabagged me using the Stalker. But my main troubles have to be the road TO said trouser-holed rewards: I've never reached Level 50 in any Halo game. Ever. In Halo 2, my highest level was 33 in Team Hardcore. I had newer, better, more Sonic-y and Matrix-y games to play by that time, so my attention to Halo 2 eventually diminished. Halo 3 is also a lost cause. I played in multiple playlists, almost entirely for personal preference and not rank. At some points, Bungie was resetting ranks and leaderboards for reasons I no longer remember. Everyone was pissed off except for me, because I never cared about rank. However, during one of those infamous Rank Resets from so long ago, some glitch seemed to occur, as my levels remained the same while everyone else's dropped back to 1. Because of that, however--all of the ranks I currently have in Halo 3 are somehow locked, and I am now permanently stuck at level 46 in Team Swat. "That's not true, Morph! You just need to win more!" I've tried. I've won a bunch of games, lost a bunch--I even straight up deranked a couple of times, and my level never went down or up. Same goes for my other levels as well. As for Halo:Reach, that's becoming even more difficult, too. I've learned(and continue to learn) that playing Reach by yourself is not fun. At all. And less and less of my friends are on that game. Essentially, neither am I. In a world of Sonic ports, mobile gaming, attempting erotic literature, keeping up with work, watching Glee, pitifully failing at editing videos with a terrible computer , trying to repopulate Hold RB to Morph, buying Dethklok tickets and general housework, I rarely have access or time to hit up my Xbox at all, and once I do, I'm usually interested in playing what I most recently bought or something that's not completed(achievement-wise). And still, the whole playing alone thing. I just--just finished getting Eclipse on there. That's like, what--level 40-something? *checks* Yep, it's level 46. Basically Halo 3 again, but it's not frozen this time. Regardless--when it was alive, that app that calculated your Rank progression based on frequency of playing said I have another 4 years to go. Uh-uh. Not gonna happen. Now, granted when Halo 4 comes out, I am indeed going to be playing it nearly 24/7, as most people do with new Halo games. But I have to get back to work and porn at some point and I can't stay on forever. So how long will it take for people to get to SR-50? "Estimates say about 3 months" Okay, sounds good. But how is that estimated? Is that Cody Miller/Child's Play marathon "3 months", All-nighter/Lock-In/LAN Party "3 months" or 3-5 hours per weekdays/off days "3 months"? Additionally, I saw in a Bulletin that the highest level will be SR-130. I'm guessing "no", but does that mean we can only choose two Specializations in our entire Halo 4 career(one every 50 levels)? If so, I already know my choices, Stalker and Pioneer. Additionally if so, that's a very tedious idea of having to possibly A) Create an entirely new XBL membership and restart from there, B) Resetting your own stats manually and starting fresh from your own profile, or C) Not knowing how each change will affect you and being forced to just whatever two you might have picked any time you want to try something new out. I also understand that once you choose a Spec., you're stuck with it until you graduate from it with a level system of its own. Sources from the Bulletin also say completing that is like completing the last 10 levels before receiving a Spec. of your own. Does that mean it's going to be the longest and most difficult road to finish each time? Will there be a noticeable difference? Not necessarily an overly advantageous one, but will I (or anyone else, for that matter) walk away from a battle alive and literally say "Man, that was close/awesome/beneficial! Thank God I chose this Specialization!" The non-Limited Edition blasphemers--the "normies"(shudders) will they eventually be able to reap the benefits of the LE Specs? If so, when? If not, that's really messed up. Will there be more Specs as DLC in the future? Will some be taken away? Will there be some games, playlists or hoppers that forbid them? Require? Will we be able to turn them on/off in Custom Games/Forge? (Hey, you never know what you'd need in Forge.) Will they receive "temporary" Specs for that custom game? What if custom gametypes/maps are made specifically FOR a Specialization and some of us are left out? These are the questions I ask, gentlemen(and lady.) I know with exception to the occasional sarcastic quip and link to a page I should've read as if it really were that easy, that this post will sink to the barren 2nd page faster than a colander in the tub, but I did have these boiling about in my brain for quite some time. And hopefully I can get some answers, and learn a bit more as I sit here in front of this GameStop, bored to death, yet too excited to breathe. There aren't too many who remember- They say a handful still survive... To tell the world about... The way the lights went out, And keep the memory alive....
