The 360 is more capable than the original Xbox, but the rising water brings up everything to the same level - a banshee in Halo 1 doesn't cost as much relative to other things than it does in Reach. - the Banshee model is exponentially more complex - the bipeds (and the memory needed for them) is more complex - Halo 1 isn't pushing the amount of AI and dynamic objects Reach is. Playing Anniversary makes it obvious how tightly they controlled spawns and encounters to make it SEEM like you were fighting more than you actually were, and Halo 1 also had all world objects pretty much welded to the ground.
