Much better than last week. | |

In Response To: Forward unto Dawn episode 2 - out now (Vincent) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K56gSEJ6IGc&feature=plcp I loved last week, but there were a few moments that took me out of the experience. This one's, however, had me immersed the entire way through. Characters felt a little more grounded after their introduction (even if you have a stereotypical character, sticking with that from their perspective and exploring it realistically can still lead to a solid character), and the acting was much more solid (I guess it was before, I just wasn't bothered by it at any point in this one). Seeing aspects from other parts of the Halo universe helped to integrate it even more into the universe we love. Seeing Lasky's brother on Arcadia was a cool moment for me, getting to actually get a sense of the jungle from the trooper's perspective. I'm loving the video entries he's rewatching. They feel genuine to me. All in all, this episode just felt much more real and grounded. I'm sure it's benefiting from not being the first in the series, but it's also taking its time with the characterization and really fleshing them out at a more realistic pace. Additionally, the helicam shots of the Academy just look amazing with all the different lighting. Axios!
