I wouldn't feel CHEATED by the middle man, just disappointed that they can't offer if for free like the other middlemen. This is entirely reasonable, since capitalism is based on competition. Indeed, a game like Halo 4 is not only competing with games on other systems, but it is competing with the back catalog of gaming's entire history. This is what some people forget: there are hundreds of amazing older games that do not string you out for ten weeks and instead let you play all the content at your own pace, that give you everything without having to preorder them, and that aren't burdened by modern design.

As I said before, I am not criticizing 343 for this, since they are just using what is at their disposal. My personal hangups would be the extra hoops for me to get the Spartan Ops content, and the frustration at it being paced for me instead of letting me determine how quickly I progress through it.

Does anybody know the details of the 'free' first season? Is it a one time use code with a new copy? Do you have to pay if it's used? Or is it free for everyone, new and used buyers?
