Ah, but just because someone isn't familiar with the franchise means they have some standardized personality and interests. Everybody has certain things they look for when they're in a store.

For example I like the Halo 2 cover, but if I tried to remove my Halo-love, I would have passed it by thinking it was just another action game.

Now if I saw the Halo 3 or Halo 4 cover in a store... I'd think it looked beautiful and full of emotion and ideas, not just action-hero cheese that you can get from so many game covers.

Whenever I go to the comic book store, it's full of covers trying to grab your attention with action - so that means the ones that stand out are usually the calmer ones or the ones who are trying something a little different.
