So weapon drops are non random - basically telegraphed weapon spawns so : that players do not have to keep track of timers or memorize positions of : the weapons. Not as bad as random weapon drops, but still not as ideal as : the old system. One potential effect of this is "spontaneuous scrums" for weapon drops of sufficent temptation. My favorite types of matches are those in which people move around a lot. Anything that pulls people out of entrenched power positions or hiding spots might help keep maps fresh. Further, skilled players/teams can show their quality through on-the-fly coordination in response to the upcoming drops.
