There's SO much in here, and I : don't have a lot of time before I have to get to work to share it all. : So, let's start here: : [video] : : : : This is poor quality footage taken with my iPhone 4S off a portable TV I got : from walgreens playing on a softmodded original XBox. : Things worth noting: -Different Hud : -Battle rifle shoots faster, and when you zoom in, only fires one shot at a : time. : -Mongoose! Has similar physics to the Warthog, but handles like a half stick : of melted butter, and tends to not actually start once you've driven it : once. : -Flamethrower! Well, it shoots fire at least, but it doesn't have an in game : name. Also uses batteries according to the hud. : -Vehicle explosions are insanely volatile. The warthog seems to be made out : of exploding paper. : Things not shown: -The ghost handling like shit and almost exploding every : time I go up a hill : -The "invasion" gametype : -The sniper rifle with incomplete display : -Earlier versions of Waterworks, Midship, and Ivory Tower, with not too many : differences, mostly just Skybox stuff. : I'll try to get some better shots later, but for now, here's what I got. I'll : also try to do some decent comparison vids too. Will edit this thread when : I have more to share. A long, long time ago, someone I was communicating with had access to this beta. She showed me the kinds of things featured in these pictures, but then also managed to do a little bit deeper of digging, and managed to extract some other models. To this day there hasn't been anything like what I saw in Halo, but the design of one of the models suggested an incredibly interesting game mechanic that many people have been longing for since the days of Halo 1. There was some really, really interesting stuff in that beta, just going by the pictures I saw.
