In Response To: Re: Wide effect neural disruption weapon. (Quirel)

: In Cryptum, there was a throwaway line to something called "Neural
: physics", a Proth... er, Precurser technology that the Forerunner
: only barely understood, if that.

Maybe it uses neural Aikido to use the Flood's psychic ability against it. The Flood samples on the rings would be part of the machine.

: Anyhow, if the Halo arrays can selectively target anything with a
: sufficiently large nervous system (Sentience not required, IMHO) and
: destroy it, that would qualify as "Neural" under my definition.

: Well, if the Halo Effect works by destroying neurons via Neural Physics, I
: imagine that would give us the effect we saw in Origins. What happens to
: your body if all your nerve cells spontaneously combust?

It wouldn't fly sideways at a high rate of knots. I may have steam coming out of my ears and my head may explode but my entire body wouldn't move as a whole a hundred meters to the left.

I still think that its a second order homeopathic bomb. Maybe it's a combination of diluted uranium and Nurofen. That would give you a lethal headache and blow your socks off at multi-lightyear distances.
