Whew, I've got a 1.3x k/d. Anyway, I can see your point, but I think I still prefer the no bleedthrough, especially with the enhanced accuracy of the DMR/NR/Pistol. That ability to kill without popping the shields, I think, was a contributing factor in the annoyance that people have with the TU. The way I see it, DMRs were enhanced in 3 ways: 1) bloom reduction. I like this one. I won't start an argument here over it, but I fall on the side of enjoying the 85% bloom.
I think removing the bleedthrough will bring back a "Reach" feeling to the game. It just has never quite felt the same when I got headshots without the pop. In Anniversary, I understand they were trying to emulate H1, so it's supposed to feel different. But with the Reach TU games, it just didn't feel quite like Reach to me. /my 2 cents
