People that are involved in online communities, people on your friendslist, people in TTL are a very small minority of the whole. The population jumped up again around the release of anniversary and after Christmas - not the introduction of the TU. The only notable population jump that seems to have stayed to any degree is for MLG. A notable community, but still a minority. : Think of a game you : really just despise playing (perhaps Call of Duty, that seems to be an HBO : favorite to bash). What if Call of Duty offered you 10 free DLC maps? What, MW2 or CoD4? (I only own those two) Actually, I probably would go check it out. I don't hate the core gameplay, and in fact the core gameplay is pretty good and the guns generally feel pretty great. The reason I stopped playing was because of a few ridiculous things: One Man Army and infinite grenade launchers, that running around like a mad-man seemed to have a rather frustrating degree of success, especially given how easily you could die and how the tiny tolerances of lag before you were getting shot, noticably, while behind cover. But new free maps? Sure, I'll come run around them for a bit - I don't even know if they did any TUs after I stopped playing! Point is, the number of people coming back for TU is almost certainly far, far less than the people who did come back (or came) for new content (anniversary) and would come back for free Noble/Defiant maps. : But what if you heard they significantly tweaked the gameplay? What, like a new game? I didn't even bother getting BlOps or MW3 since it still seemed to have the same issues. And, crucially, I had many other games that I wanted to play first.
