In Response To: 343i has killed my interest in Reach MM. (Gravemind) The Bleed Though makes the point of those armor abilities pointless. In Vinalla Reach it sucked when a player armor locked on me. But all I or my team mates really needed to do was back up and wait for it to time out. Likewise, when useing the armor lock, it often saved my life but also allowed my team mates time to back me up when I needed it the most. There was a balancing act and team work involved. The Bleedthrough makes armor lock pointless. Now if you're using it and waiting for back up the other team can just hammer you and kill you without worry. Another problem with bleed through is that it makes weapons far too powerful and shields regular pointless. Spartans have had Shields since the begining for a reason. They are for protection. But now they are pointless. We might as well play Swat. Swat is fun and balances the game for all level players. We don't need the TU. As FyreWulff stated, there was much better ways to bring players to/back to Halo Reach. Make certiain DLC maps free. They should have been free months ago. Make them a requirement in Matchmaking. It give players a reason to play and incurage them to buy the latest maps or return when they are free. Update the playlist with a Community Only section. That way players will have a place to go if they get tired of the same maps all the time. I don't know who's "bright idea" it was to split the Halo MM community between Reach and Anniversary, but it was a VERY STUPID MOVE. And now 343i is dividing it even more with the TU. Player don't "NEED" the TU. If they can't play well, then they simply need to practice more, just as they would with Any Other Game. Do you think players like Snipe, NortFoPC, Shadow, and others got as good as they are simply by giving up? No they didn't. They kept at it and improved. There are ranks in Halo for a reason. They may not be perfect (just like other ranked games), but they do work. The TU ruins that. I've ran across noobs that have ranted up fast only to have their tails handed to them simply because they were not prepared for the skilled players. And likewise I've seen VERY skilled players get owned by random noobs simply because of the stupid TU. In no way is it wise to take a 2x weapon and allow it to snipe someone across Hemorrhage, Breakpoint, Spire, etc. Same goes for the DMR, NR, etc. I've been in the middle of a large map and got owned by a AR player while he was still in his base! It makes zero sense at all and breaks the game. Halo Reach's MM is now a joke and a imbarrassment to Bungie and all Halo players. Mostly the Hardcore gamers. As for the so called "no bias" voting of Team Slayer, it doesn't matter. Based on 343i's actions, it's clear they are going to claim that the TU won. It doesn't take this long to finalize the results. Either one won or the other. I believe 343i is trying to come up with a way to make the TU win the votes and to justify keeping it. I played a lot during the voting weeks and NOT ONCE did I see the TU win. The most votes I ever saw it get was 3. That's 3 votes out of 16. 343i's has destroyed Halo Reach's MM. HCEA was cool but all of the Reach maps should have been on the disc or avaliable as a free DLC for buyers. I like the maps even tough their forging abilities suck nuts. But I don't want to play them outside the Vanilla settings. It's just not fun. It may have been fun in the original Halo, but that's because it was the ORIGINAL HALO!. There were no armor abilities and half of Reach's weapons and vehicles were not in it. The ONLY thing that's keeping me in Reach right now is Swat, Invasion, Firefight, and Customs. I've been cheated out of my rank and forced to use stupid run and gun tatics to get a kill in the TU. There's no more team-work nor is there any strategy involved in the TU. We witnessed this in Last week's HBO MM night when we went agenst the world in TU. We Got Owned. even with Snipe's awesome shooting on our side, we got owned. Why? Because World Players were just running and gunning at us. They would swarm us and our team-work meant squat. Sortly after the loses, we went to invasion and had a lot more fun. Nothing is as much fun as working together and taking the win.
