I would imagine it would mess with interface to allow both key/mouse and controller. You would have to limit the keyboard the same functions as the controller. You couldn't give the key/mouse combo anything that the controller couldn't have or the games would not be fair. I would compare it to giving one person a Plastic knife and giving the other a swiss army knife. You could counter by making a keyboard/mouse mandatory for the game, but then do you make the customer supply their own? Or do you include one with the game? Even then, I'd wager that most peoples home entertainment setups don't allow you to just plop down a keyboard and mouse on the couch. I love halowars. I still play it. Problem is that its a niche game, and the only reason it did as well as it did at all was because it had HALO affixed to it. Even then, it attracted people who were fans of HALO FPS and thought they were getting something else, or just didn't enjoy the gameplay. Skip to 2:50 and watch this.
