In Response To: Re: All this said... (Louis Wu) : Hrm. This seems like a pretty unsatisfying solution - you're suggesting that : if I'm confused because of the mix, that I should limit myself : tremendously. I should pick which of the three gametypes I like the best : (never mind that I might like all three - just because someone gets : confused about playstyles in the different lists, it doesn't mean that the : REASON they're confused is because they dislike one or more of the : styles), and then eat only from that table. If I decide Vanilla Reach is : my favorite, I should simply give up on any 8v8 gametypes, or any types : where precision weapons are dominant. What they should do is start condensing some playlists and reorganize things, creating a new TU category. Here's how the playlist screen should be organized: Reach Classic
Team Slayer (note: Noble & Defiant required) Team Objective Team SWAT Team Snipers Team Doubles Multi Team Big Team Battle (note: Noble & Defiant required) Invasion TU Playlists
Squad Slayer Arena Team Skirmish (note: 6v6 TU-enabled BTB variant) ZB Slayer Anniversary (note: labeled as TU-enabled in description of category)
Anniversary Squad Anniversary BTB Anniversary Firefight Community
MLG Grifball Living Dead Co-operative
FF Doubles Firefight Campaign Co-op And there we go. TU playlists relegated to their own categories. Redundant playlists like Ann. Squad and Anniv. Classic merged to free up space for two new TU-enabled playlists, and the two most popular standard "classic" playlists made DLC-mandatory to eliminate the failing Squad DLC playlist, giving us the same number of playlists as there are currently. I'd even go so far as to merge Grifball and Living Dead with Action Sack (though the AS playlist would be weighted heavily towards Grifball & Infection), which would free up two more slots for new playlists.
