In Response To: even if we hate the TU (kidtsunami) : we don't completely cut out playing any playlist with TU in it, we just get : more and more frustrated with the inconsistency : I'm super disappointed by the TU and really wish they would roll it back
If the roles were reversed, and I disliked the new change that was inexorably marching across MM, I would be frustrated as well. You guys are all handling this pretty well, all things considered. Fans of other FPS games might renounce all future products from the company, but it seems everyone has just focused their hopes fully on Halo 4. I just hope 343 nails it right away so we don't have to go through the TU split again. Personally, I had hoped that 343 would stop at a 50-50 balance between the two settings with similar sized playlists in both (8v8, 6v6, 4v4, etc). I was afraid that having the TU cross over into the majority would be perceived as an "threat" to the choices in MM and make those who like Vanilla feel boxed in. I didn't want that to happen, and I honestly wouldn't mind if the TU was repealed in a few playlists to get back to 50-50 status. I would really love to see the playlists reorganized by Default, TU, Anniversary, and Cooperative. That would make it much easier to know what you're getting. The other big problem is the Anniversary playlists. Normally, after a DLC release, the DLC-only playlists begin to merge with the similarly sized regular versions. I would love to see the Anniversary BTB playlist merge with regular BTB. They're both TU, so why not? Just include that MM code that matches people who only have the new maps with each other, and match those who have both with each other.
