I'm used to dealing with "love TU" or "hate TU" people, and haven't really run into many that are OK with either. For those who like both and switch between them, I can definitely understand the confusion. The whole situation is a mess, there's no getting around that. 343 painted themselves into a corner by promising to always have Vanilla playlist(s). If they change their mind, they will burned at the stake for breaking a promise. If they stick to the plan of having both types, they are burned for causing confusion. I honestly don't know the right answer, I was just offering an effective (though perhaps not satisfying) solution to avoid confusion. At this point, there may be no satisfying solutions.
