In Response To: No no no no no no!!! (Bryan Newman) : We should be encouraging the use of skill based weapons, not beefing up : automatic weapons. Nothing is more annoying than someone gunning you down : with an AR when you are using a skill based DMR. Calling skilled players : an "imbalance" is the wrong way to look at the game, that is the : video game equivalent of occupy wall street. "skilled DMR users are : the 1% blah blah blah" : Sorry got a bit political there :P first of all, he's talking about how the weapons are balanced against one another, the fact that he made an anecdote about skill based players is just that, an anecdote. You took that and ran with it rather than addressing the point that we was making, that you can barely kill a single person with a full clip of an AR whereas you can be well on your way to a killing spree before you have to reload your DMR. While that alone isn't a rock solid argument that the DMR is imbalanced in comparison to the AR, it IS an interesting point to consider. And now, separate to what I said above, I'm going to argue with you about "skill based weapons" and your whinging about getting AR'd. I believe your point about getting gunned down is a non issue because it's a skill to assess the situation and pick the right tool for the job, making the DMR the one gun to rule them all takes out one of the more fun challenges in match making. Also if you get caught close quarters and someone takes you down with an AR that is on you. You can be the sharpest shooter out there, but your awareness of your situation and weapon selection should also figure into your success.
