In Response To: Re: I disagree completely (Revenant1988) : Isn't it possible that TS DOES work but the TU messed with the average for : most players? As in, the rules have been redefined and now it has to : adjust? : I don't think that TS in Vanilla Reach = TS in TU reach (or anniversary
: A player who was bad/good and vanilla may not necessarily be the same in that

: That's how I'm looking at it. : Does that make sense? It's hard to put into words.... I'm trying. Fuck, I'm
Heh - I had some trouble figuring out what the hell you were talking about, since I was using TS to indicate 'Team Slayer' in my post, and you were using it for something else. (I figured out that you meant 'TrueSkill' - yes, that should have been obvious. Might have been, if I hadn't just used it for something else. :) ) Anyway - since the TU was put into place, I've played more than 50 games in the Squad Slayer playlist. Again - this SHOULD be enough for TrueSkill to get a measure of my style. It certainly had a better feel for me 50 games into Vanilla Squad Slayer. These totally lopsided games didn't happen regularly until recently. ::shrug:: I cannot say with certainty what's really going on behind the scenes - but I CAN say that since the TU came out, my overall K/D has increased by several points - not an insignificant achievement after 3000 multiplayer games. I don't think I suddenly got better; I think I'm being matched up with people well below the skill level of those I was matched up with BEFORE the TU. It's happening across all playlists. And I can't really attribute that to the idea that "people just play worse under the TU."
