I'm not an expert either, and I'm only going by memory so I could be wrong. I think the fundamental change is that you just don't see that rank like you used to, so its harder to gauge. Playlists then were ranked and social where TS is present in both but you only see it in one.

There is also things like guests to consider. I don't know how that works in terms of skill matching but guests do tend to be less skilled than their host most of the time. There are exceptions of course.

I just don't think that the TS is really to blame here in relation to the TU. I DO think that the TU is influencing TS in the sense that if Player A was bad with the pre TU DMR/NR and now they are better with it BECAUSE of the TU then naturally the TS is going to shift for that player because the game is now playing by different rules (same if a player was good with it before and is bad now, or was good with it before and is BETTER with it now, etc).

I don't know if any of that makes sense how I wrote it, I'm having trouble putting it into writing.

I'm the same way. In the games I linked for our BTB night we have fun but we aren't challenged. It seems like a lot of the time we roll in with a full party, and if the other team is mostly randoms a few drop out from the get go... or they don't try and mess with their own team. It sucks the fun out of it yes. I am a big believer in loosing a game but still having fun with it. I WANT to win, but I also WANT to be CHALLENGED and in BTB it's just harder I think.

The whole rich-getting-richer is an interesting way to put it but it really depends on the individual. Either way, with the TU settings as they are now, if nothing else changes for a while and people continue to log games I truly think that TS will catch up, but the rules need to quit changing.
