In Response To: I disagree completely (Revenant1988) : I think you are flat out wrong here. MM and trueskill are doing their job. : BTB is, and always has been a challenge for the TS system because it takes : many, many games for the system to classify you because of the size of the : teams. Opposed to regular team slayer where it only needs to match you : with 7 other people in your skill range, it now needs to do that with 15 : people. And that, is assuming you go in solo and only get matched with : randoms. What happens when you join in a full party of 8 with skill : ranging from very low to very high? Trueskill is going first try to search : for another full party of 8, and try to get the skill as close as : possible. If it can't it generally seems to match randoms that are in the : middle or average skill level of the 'partied' team as it were. I have over 350 games in the Squad Slayer playlist; that should be enough to figure out my TrueSkill, right? And I usually go in solo, so the system isn't bogged down trying to average out a team's disparate skill levels when matching me - it's just me. It's more players than TS, yes - but way less than BTB. Here are a string of games from yesterday:
These games were 75-50 (we lost), 75-46 (we won), 75-69 (we won - best game of the series), 75-30 (we won), 75-39 (we won), 75-54 (we lost). I think that Trueskill doesn't work very well, and this has become MORE obvious since the TU.
