In Response To: TU Needle Rifle - it's pretty good *vid* (RC Master) : Grr, I'm still at 1.99 k/d ratio! I know I can get to 2.0 with a few more : games like this! : Yeah this is why the TU, as it exists, was a bad idea which rewards the already highly skilled and being imposed on the lesser skilled who are the most likely to be destroyed by it. Bungie, I believe, understands the reason why a playing field has to be leveled. They know there is a fine balance where the skilled players must be allowed to succeed and the average to lower than average player must be allowed a measure of success which will keep them playing the game. The TU creates a huge disparity between the skill levels. In the coming months 343i should have amassed enough data to measure the results of their decisions with the TU. I wonder what they will do with all of that knowledge. One of the frequents comments I read in forums suggests the "scrubs' will get better and learn how to shoot with the TU. The world really doesn't work that way. Many people are poorly skilled and that is as good as they are likely to get. The trouble is, these same people are playing in the same venue as highly skilled players and all too often are matched up against them. The highly skilled were already winning the games. Why did their weapons need a buff?
