In Response To: Statistical Analysis of DMR Behavior (Hoovaloov) Click. While you might be tempted to look at mean averages and conclude that pacing is MORE rewarded in TU, you would be wrong. (mean averages are unfairly skewed high by the extreme spamming results) You have to look at the whole thing from multiple angles to really understand it. The median and the quartiles in particular show a very different picture. Spamming makes MASSIVE gains in consistency (IQR) and speed and the relative advantage of pacing at range is decidedly reduced. Frequency data and graphs on the second page. Pacing kill times are all more tightly packed around the 60 frame mark for all ranges. So I guess the does make the dmr 'more consistent' but it also means you don't have to care as much about range and just fire it mostly the same way - losing a lot of the point I think. Spamming is still not discouraged and is in fact faster and more consistent than before - it is also arguably more viable at short and medium range than it was before.
