In Response To: Re: So. Default Reach Remains Default Frankie? (DEEP NNN) : That's pretty incredible you haven't notice it. I noticed it right away in : one of my first games in ZB Slayer before anyone even knew about the : problem. I only thought something unexpected was going on. Maybe it's : because you are more often on the delivering end of the issue than I am. : My KD in Competitive is .72 and yours is 1.65. We are not even close to : being at the same level of play. I have 1981 custom to 286 competitive MM : games and yours is 1595 Competitive MM to 110 Custom. Do we even live on : the same planet? If it is important to 343i to attract people like me to : MM, they need to eliminate barriers to that effort. By fixing this bug : people like you should be completely unaffected and people like me might : be more interested in MM. Don't you want more people like me to pwn in MM? I can't remember it happening to me. That doesn't mean it didn't, it just means in all the hundreds of TU games I've played, it happens rarely enough that it doesn't even register to me. It simply doesn't affect the game that often. Lag is a worse problem to me than the health pack glitch. Host changes and bad hosts and bad lag are much more of a problem. I didn't know your particular style of play, but if you play 10x more Customs than Matchmaking, I would venture to say that you already had plenty of barriers keeping you from enjoying Matchmaking already. Maybe the TU was the last straw, and I can understand that. Not to say that our opinions have different weights, but if a restaurant changes its soup recipe, and I, a customer who almost always orders soup, really enjoys the new flavor, as do many other soup buyers, and you, who mainly order salad, try the soup again now that the flavor is different and find that you still don't enjoy the soup, and instead dislike it more, who should the restaurant listen to? We are both frequent customers. We both bought the soup. But we came to different conclusions. Maybe 343 has insights into the world of Matchmaking that we don't. We think we have cool stats on Bungie.net, who knows what kind of amazing stats and tools 343 has to look into amount of battles resulting in no kills pre-TU, and looked to fix it. I don't know, all I know is I like the soup better now. : You still do not seem to understand the health regeneration bug. You do not
I know what it looks like when it happens, but I have not memorized the conditions it takes to make it happen. And since it manifests itself rarely, I don't even remember having it happen to me. So I don't think it's as game-breaking as you do. I can live with that glitch for another year, maybe that's just me. : I already stated "I have either been completely wrong about that group's
I just don't think the number of complaints will grow to a big enough number to warrant 343 taking time, resources, and personnel off of Halo 4 to fix a glitch that will not be a problem in 12 months. I'd rather Halo 4 be glitch free than have a few leftover because their bug-squasher had to spend time working on Reach again. In a perfect world, sure fix Reach, but they don't have unlimited time. : It is also obvious to me now that 343i does not want to draw any attention to
I wouldn't either if I was 343. Bungie didn't draw attention to glitches in its games, and neither does Infinity Ward or Treyarch. If they have time and resources, they fix them without warning. If not, the glitches stick around. : Additionally, I'll make the determination as to whether or not something is
I'm not stopping you from complaining, complain all you want. I'm not 100% sure what the right thing to do is for those who don't like the TU, while keeping the TU around for those who do like it. I'm not envious of 343 at all. But I do appreciate the fact that they are listening to fans, and there is no doubt that the number 1 request since Reach came out was to fix Bloom. That was a ubiquitous complaint. The TU has received a lot of complaints, but not nearly as many as Bloom. : Any how, I've been striving to stay away from posting on the topic here. You
I'm not here to start a flame war, I'm here because every time the TU gets brought up, a few members constantly bash it. I merely wish to provide counter points and show others who read these posts but do not participate in the conversations that the TU is not hated by everyone. I don't mind if no one changes their mind about the TU, I just want to provide a differing viewpoint, to keep the conversation from spiraling toward 343 and TU hate.
