Yes, I would agree with everything you just said. But 343 has definitely said more than once that there will always be some amount of Vanilla/Default Reach available. Whether that means one little 2v2 Slayer playlist or what, I don't know. But they said it would always be around. Frankly, I think that if 343 wants to keep Default around, they should be careful not to make it just two or three playlists. Instead of making people that like Vanilla learn to switch to TU, I think it will just make them more mad at how boxed in they are. I think we are approaching that tipping point now since there are only four Vanilla playlists. On the other hand, if 343's vision is the TU taking over as much of Reach as possible (which it certainly seems like the direction they're headed), then having duplicates of each playlist with both settings seems counter-productive. Either way, 343 has the official numbers and the official game plan. I trust them to figure it out. : Heck, I don't know. Maybe we (Those disapproving of the TU) are all suffering
I think it would have been better to just change all of Reach, but they thought those that hate the TU would appreciate having some playlists around. I guess some people can't be pleased.
