In Response To: Re: So. Default Reach Remains Default Frankie? (Hoovaloov) First, I'd like to mention that picture was hyperlinked to the thread I took it from, you didn't need to really search for it. Okay off to the main post. ________________ : I don't understand why you think Frankie's quote, "Default Reach will
: Also, this quote is being taken out of context, I think. If I remember
: Notice that Frankie was replying to a comment focused on gametypes, not about
I get what you mean. They didn't mention that they were keeping the Vanilla playlists, and implied that you can still play private, custom Vanilla gametypes. Here's the thing though, we can both agree that matchmaking is currently the biggest mode in Reach, right? Lets assume that, say in two months time, there are no more Vanilla playlists in Reach and the only way to play Vanilla is to go into a custom game. I don't know about you, but when I see matchmaking playlists change to only TU-enabled playlists, I no longer consider Reach as Vanilla/Default. And odds are, people do not want to go switch into a custom game to only play with a couple friends, over and over again. Why would they? : TL;DR - Why would Frankie post such a "promise" more than once only
Heck, I don't know. Maybe we (Those disapproving of the TU) are all suffering from "WHY THE HELL DID YOU CHANGE THIS! CHANGE IT BACK!" Syndrome or something (What people suffer from when sites like Facebook does a redesign). And it really doesn't help when they are TU-ifiying only 3-4 playlists per month. Actually, in my opinion, it probably would have been easier for us if they changed all of the playlists to TU-enabled when H: CEA released.
