I apologize for that. I know what I said, but it was never my intent to imply there were only two camps. There's obviously more than that (Vagueness camp, Needlers only? ;P).

I'm well aware it's not all-powerful, but when you have a handful of gametypes devoted to using it and only it (Slayer Pro and Slayer DMRs for example. Why don't we have Slayer Pistols? Or Slayer Spikers? Slayer Grenade Launchers?), and it shows up as a starting weapon in nearly every game... It becomes a little difficult to not feel like we're walking back into Halo 3 where there was never a reason to use anything else.

The more I talk about it the more I feel like I can't adequately express my position. I think the simplest I can make it is; It's not the gun I have a problem with. The gun is fine. Excellent even. It's the position and regard it seems to be held in. It feels as though it's everywhere, and it shouldn't be.

Ironically I think I have an easier time getting my feelings across in a verbal conversation. You'd think it'd be easier when I have all the time in the world to think it through and write it out.
