I'm not asking for the whole story to be spelled out : for me, just the parts where people get mortally wounded. I think that : warrants being spelled out. Then I could imagine the arguments could be 'why do they have to show each member of the team getting killed. Can't anything just happen and not be front-and-center?'. :) They could have showed it, sure. They didn't. I still got what was goin' down. Mission accomplished on their part. If it left me head scratchin' is if I couldn't piece together what happened. I think what the cutscene does show is that the time has passed...that if we saw them take off from the relic and then Carter got hit, then Emile and Six jumped out, a player's perception would be that the Relic and Sword Base are very close to the Aszod yards and they didn't want to show a (mostly) boring trip, when they wanted the player excited to play the last leg of the journey.
