You're "only games are canon," so the entire EU is fanon discontinuity to you, whereas I only disregard the events of Halo: Reach as apocryphal. What's "official" is a secondary consideration. I don't like how the last third of TFoR was retconned out of existence; you don't think there's anything to retcon because you disregard the novels as canon in their entirety.
