Playing Nightfall with : him is even more annoying than Emile thinking his shotgun is effective : beyond five meters. : Going by their designation (T-47 Ultra-Heavy Assault Platform) the Scarabs : had been fielded five years before Reach fell. Add to the fact that : they're huge, cumbersome, and probably artillery magnets, the only time : when they should be a challenge is if you have no anti-armor weapons or : are unable to bring them to bear. : The Scarab waltzing around New Mombassa was a challenge because its urban : surroundings prevented artillery from squishing it like its namesake, and : gunships were absent for insufficiently explored reasons. In Halo 3, the : Scarabs had a habit of showing up when you had an abundance of guided : missiles, Scorpion tanks, or miniature gunships. : As for Johnson's comment about simulations, Marines stationed on Earth : probably wouldn't have any combat experience against the T-47 UHAP, aside : from training simulations. : Or maybe, what seemed to be a desperate method of destroying a Scarab was : instead the only practical way of destroying one when you just had two : Spartans with small arms and a third in a burning Pelican. Scarabs were around in Halo Wars days. Not sure if they were ever meant to be seen by non-Spirit of Fire crew and thus a secret (I have yet to finish the game).
