I mean, it's not like he suddenly shed his armor and is walkin' around in Neo's trenchcoat. If you're the special-forces guy who gets all the cool new gear as soon as it's developed, you can bet your loadout isn't gonna stay the same forever. I DO understand the frustration over not explaining some of the changes very well, but that really seems like small potatoes in the big picture. Then again, maybe I'm just less contentious as I approach 30, compared to those just entering their 20's ... ;-)
