I admit that sometimes this stuff gets a bit nonsensical. Sometimes there are good reasons, sometimes well, our soft-walls get a bit overzealous- I wish I could give you explanations for every case. There are some soft-kill volumes that I had to place late in production (LIKE 1 day till ship, late) that made me cry inside. There are some areas in Ice Cave that I had to cover up because someone found a way to soft crash a level. A tear went down my cheek as Harold put a gun to my head to fix the bug. I apologize for every single case that broke your heart- it hurts me as much as it hurts you because it's one more thing to break illusion. The Bug Gods are cruel and mighty.
