In Response To: Re: Why i wont be buying HCEA *article* (General Vagueness) : I don't think that's correct as they've added content to it-- even if you : disregard the new graphics and sounds (a port doesn't automatically turn a : MIDI song into an orchestra-played one), there are the terminals and other : as-yet undefined things. You're absolutely right, he's wrong to try to simplify it. A port is simply making a piece of software work on a system it wasn't originally designed for, whereas this is obviously more than that. Entirely new graphics, remastered dialogue and sounds, coop campaign over live, none of these things have anything to do with a 'port'. I'm sure the coop code is new and is designed to allow for proper functioning on the new system that is the 360, but since that capability didn't exist on the original (campaign play with two players over an external network), it's obviously not part of a 'port'. I'm really looking forward to this game, quite a lot. I'm excited about playing Hang 'Em High again, and seeing if I remember all the grenade-tossing angles; I'm excited about playing AOTCR again, by myself as I did so many hundreds of times or with a friend over Live; I'm excited to see what 343 has in store for us with the terminals; hell, I'm excited to go back to the Library and see how it looks now. The Maw run, the Shishkaball games on Battle Creek, meeting Keyes on the bridge of the POA again, not to mention Firefight on whatever map that's on - it's all good as far as I can see. Yeah, I still drag the 360 over to a friend's house to Remember that the naysayers are loud, and not necessarily right.
