I must admit, with the general consensus seeming to be a resounding "meh", I feel like I'm defending a sinking ship. But I'm not, so I won't. I actually am mearly interested in what everyone else is thinking. I fully understand (and appreciate) the notion that "just because it's been good in the past doesn't buy you a free pass", and since we're being honest with each other, the rose-collored glasses are most certainly obscuring my vision. Truth be told, while I will be excited, in the back of my mind, I give myself a few months before I begin to ravenously despise all the evil that 343 is sure to enact on this most beloved of franchises. [/semi-sarcastic-over-exageration] All silliness aside, as well as all developer issues and money-milking hang-ups. Has everyone kinda closed their thoughts towards the continuation of the story? The reason I ask is that as soon as I finished my first legendary playthrough of Halo 3, my hopes instantly jumped to the thought of a Halo 4. Mostly in regards to my theory that the construct was of Forunner origins, specifically Onyx. I reeeeeeeally want the Chief to meet back up with Blue team. I mean really. Reach was fun, but I want a team of Spartan IIs in all their violent glory. For me the story is, and always has been, my favorite aspect of the Halo games. As long as they don't pull some "Sgt Johnson survived another halo ring destruction!!! ZOMG! Even after he died in your arms!!! WTF?! who knew!" crap. And as long as they try to keep with the past games (not refering to gameplay, just plot) I will enjoy it. But all this is just me, me and my admittedly fanboyishly ways. Thoughts?
