In Response To: Re: Frankie's Back. With an update ;-) (Frankie) : I think the idea that it's a binary decision is faulty. I think the issue that many of us have with your argument against MP not being the same over Live or the pistol being too powerful for Live is that we've had it over XBC and we've had it through Halo PC for the best part of 8 years now. Neither are an exact replica of how it plays over system link but that's not important to the majority of us. If you've played Halo PC and I'm sure you have (at least briefly), it'd be pretty difficult to produce worse netcode than we've grown accustomed to. It plays differently than system link, sure, though essentially it's the same experience that we enjoyed on the Xbox over system link, if not better. My point is that it didn't need to be a perfect remake of the system link multiplayer and I'm sure in 2011 you could have provided a much better experience than XBC or Halo PC with its 56k target netcode can offer. Although we're not privy to the details, 'technological issues' just makes me believe that nobody wanted to create a matchmaking and statistics system for the game. If it was somehow related to the graphics engine, I'm sure most of us would have accepted the original engine but with netcode thrown in.
