BOBs usually have a despawn timer somewhere in the range of 10-20 seconds. This particular BOB disappears about 1/2 a second after his feet touch the ground, so it does seem a little buggy. Not sure if it was accidental or if the LNoS mission designer wanted to make one of the level's BOBs super-hard to get.
