In Response To: The shutdown of Halo 2 - One Year Later (FyreWulff) The passing of Halo 2 multiplayer was bittersweet. I remember my frustration in the wee hours of the morning the day the game came out. (Multiplayer wouldn't work with some early batch original Xboxes, and I ended up buying a new console.) Then I witnessed my local peeps who I'd played with regularly at LAN parties not really having an interest in the XBL play. So there was more than one disappointment, but the maps were great, and for a few weeks the first year it was out, I was almost competitive. There were some entire weekends that year given up to it. Although there were things I liked better about Halo 3 MM, I never played it as much as I did Halo 2. Then the last night it was out I had a blast playing around with these guys. I remembered how much fun Halo could be when you were playing with fun people. That last night convinced me that I would make the effort to find those people going forward. Thanks to HBO, I have. Kermit
