*shrug* A lot of people have problems with the story of Reach. I don't. I've read the rewrites on this forum, and I don't care for them. I feel that the radio conversations, data-pads, and Halsey's journal add enough of the story to satisfy those who read the books, while the game can stand alone for those who don't. Obviously there are contradictions, but as far as I'm concerned, no more grave than deciding that Elites and Hunters weren't secrets or that human ships have had artificial gravity for decades. Reach doesn't destroy the original story of the Fall of Reach, it simply tells a different part of it.
