Funny you mention that. I just did a Halo 3 playthrough days ago as well. :p

Say what you will about Halo 3's story, but I consider the cutscenes rather beautifully animated, and it is the game where their movements feel... well, human. Every time I play that game, I always notice something different in the characters that take part in those scenes. From the Master Chief's small movements so in par to that of the Spartans, the Arbiter's semi-animalistic movements and sense of revenge and camaraderie, and the continuing exhaustion all humans feel when the war is nearing its' end.

Like you, every time I play through these games, I get a new way of viewing these things, and it's an amazing feeling. Lines of dialogue that may have been heard or read at one point may become strongly relevant in other viewings.

.....This will be an insane request, but when the Forerunner trilogy is concluded? Go through the whole Halo story from Cryptum to the BELIEVE shorts. While it will inevitably have conflicts as you read, it makes the universe feel alive, and breathing. Lines that may initially seem unimportant ("Don't listen to her. She's only half the woman she used to be.") may be central to who they are ("Don't look at me, don't listen! I'm not what I used to be...").

This is why I love mah Halos.
