In Response To: My usual obsession (Lekgolo) (scarab) : The armor could allow a single single Hunter to be as small as it is because the armor : could act as an insulator (it could have a foamed metal core) and as a moderator : (carbon lining) whenever the Lekgolo's reactor is critical. I didn't know if it was actually possible but I suspected that the armor could reflect neutrons back towards the core to let a smaller mass be critical. On a hunch I Googled for Neutron Reflector and found this. Turns out that the carbon lining can reflect back neutrons but it also turns out that my favorite element: Beryllium (I've always wanted a bicycle made from Beryllium) does even better! Its an excellent neutron reflector (used to reduce critical size of nuclear weapons and to make micro-reactors viable). Its very light, has the highest melting point of any light metal and makes very durable, light weight components for the aircraft and space industry. It sounds like it would make an excellent component of a composite, kick-ass, armor for a Covenant living-tank. Some of Beryllium's Totally Excellent Properties,
