I had forgotten what the books said and I just assumed that the ringed body was a gas giant. Any casual gamer would do the same. Fortunately it really doesn't matter if you get that bit wrong. :-) : The : aurora stuff isn't just around Reach, but from the very opening of the : game, the entire Epsilon Eridani star is shrouded in blue nebular clouds, : none of which is detectable from Earth for a nearby star. If this was just : artistic license, someone should have it revoked. If it's a prelude to : something Forerunner created within a 500 year time span from now, it : would be easier to swallow. : I still think most of Reach's campaign should have had the lighting present : at the opening of 'The Package' as Epsilon Eridani is an orange star, not : yellow. Too much of the campaign looked like it could have been on Earth. An orange sun would still have given a blue sky. Its just that the sun itself would have looked oranger(sp?). The lighting color palette in Reach is a bit odd, maybe they just toned the orange down too much but there is a hint of a warmer tone to the light. My only real complaint is about the trees on Overlook. Someone dotted trees in lines along the skyline. It looks so obviously unnatural, they are evenly spaced, you know that a person did it. Its a landscape crime. I think that the slopes should have been more bare with the trees confined to valleys, hollows and sheltered areas.
