In Response To: Re: *Spoiler* Here's how to fly the Pelicon\Phanto (Urk) Not that my opinion matters on this topic, but if it was such a huge secret and big deal, why hint at it at all during the Weekly Update? I fully understand why Dan (Miller?) would be upset about this. Since he put it in a nifty little treat to the fans, then yeah, I'm sure he'd have loved for it to have been discovered by complete and total accident by random chance and luck or something. And I can honestly admit that the "wow" factor and amazingness behind said random chance and luck would have been a lot more neat than having it shown this way. That doesn't change the fact that kornman has done a lot for the community over the years, and the fact that he never intended to harm anyone or upset anyone over this makes all these attacks on him pretty messed up. This isn't some bastard who uses a modded Xbox, or tries to ruin fun, or who goes around bragging about how he totally circumvented Bungie's stuff and is now posting things online. To this point, I'm not even sure if Bungie has officially said whether or not every single easter egg in H1 has been found. Actually, I don't think it's even been stated if we've found them all in H2 or H3 either. I suppose the same goes for ODST. Why go hinting about it in a Bungie.net update if it's supposed to be so secret and important? So would it have been a lot cooler and more bad ass if the egg had been found on its own? Absolutely, and it sucks that Dan is probably upset about this. Should the egg have never been brought up in the first place so that it could have been found as eggs are supposed to be found? That's all I have to say.
